The 1957 Golden Horse collection represented a significant step forward for Rado. It was not only the first collection presented under the brand’s name, but also a demonstration of its leadership in creating watches as fashion accessories and statements of personal style.

Complementing the 37 mm ‘new vintage’ Golden Horse models, Rado also presents the ‘new contemporary’ Golden Horse Automatic models. While the design remains true to the original, these timepieces stand out through their accentuated features. Indeed, the case is more imposing, the bezel bolder and the crown more distinctive. The vintage-inspired shapes thus create a style and feel unique to Rado.

The stainless steel cases with their rose gold-coloured Ceramos™ elements, or the warm metallic sheen of the high-tech plasma ceramic, capitalise on their two-tone appearance, a vintage design element that is also a Rado signature feature. Two seahorses, symbols of all Rado Horse collections, appear on each of the dials.

The 35 mm watch range includes models with dark grey, blue, green and mother-of-pearl dials, all supplied with interchangeable straps: leather or stainless steel — three-row or rice-grain style. Thanks to contemporary watchmaking technology, these straps can be easily changed without tools. The models are powered by automatic Swiss ETA 2671 movements with a power reserve of up to 38 hours.

With their vintage style enhanced by modern design touches, the Golden Horse Automatic models perfectly bring together Rado’s illustrious past and glorious present. The vintage design is skilfully balanced with new elements drawing on the brand’s very latest material innovations. Injectable rose gold-coloured Ceramos is an extraordinary material that Rado created by blending approximately 90% high-tech ceramic with 10% metal alloy to achieve a sumptuous sheen and excellent scratch resistance. High-tech plasma ceramic, introduced by the brand in 1998, remains unrivalled in terms of colour, lightness, long-lasting sheen and durability.
