The Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre marks a technological turning point for Alpina, becoming the Manufacture’s very first solar-powered watch. Equipped with the Swiss Made AL-140 calibre, developed with La Joux-Perret, it offers total freedom: as long as the dial is exposed to light, the battery recharges continuously. Just one minute of exposure is enough to power a full day of operation, while a full charge guarantees up to 10 months of autonomy without any light source. The true feat of this model lies in its translucent dial, which conceals advanced photovoltaic cells while retaining the opaque, refined appearance of the House’s traditional dials. Adorned with Alpina’s emblematic triangular motif, the dial features applied indexes and luminescent hands for optimal readability in all circumstances. A subtle blue trim surrounds the logo at 12 o’clock, while the counterweight triangle of the seconds hand is also tinted blue, discreetly marking the piece’s place within the solar technology range.
